Combustion Response Model for Advanced Afterburners

IN Space is developing a response function-based engineering model for jet engine augmentor/afterburner combustion dynamics. This model will be used to assist engineers in designing augmentors free from performance-robbing and potentially destructive combustion instabilities. IN Space is pursuing this model as a product for the aerospace community so few details can be released at this time.

This modeling project is being conducted with financial support from the Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund through a Center of Excellence grant and with the assistance of Liberty Works (formerly Allison Advanced Development Company).
